ANGULUS was founded in 1904 by Willy Madsen’s father, who had a cobblers shop on Nørrebrogade in Copenhagen. Willy was a teacher and disagreed with the pointed shoes that many children wore at that time. He thought they were both unhealthy for growing feet and hindered natural movement. In 1928, Willy astounded the Danish footwear industry with his new foot-formed shoes, developed in collaboration with doctors and physiotherapists.
ANGULUS' 110 th. anniversary i 2014
Their perfect fit, quality and design ensured ANGULUS the prestigious British “Junior Magazine Design Award” in 2012, 2013 and again in 2014, as well as the Danish “Børn i Byen” award for the best Danish children’s shoe. Attention to craftsmanship and the guiding principle that children’s toes should be able tomove freely in their shoes, drive the company onwards. New collections await and the story of ANGULUS continues.
